God’s grace has been revealed in the coming of Jesus Christ. And this appearing of God’s grace serves as a teacher to us. The real question for the Christ follower is are we learning from this arrival of grace and conforming our lives after the one who has purchased us and cleansed us?
Titus 2:11-15
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
How? The appearance of God’s GRACE in Christ teaches us
What? Ungodliness —> Godliness
When? While we WAIT
What is the Grace of God teaching you?
Do you quickly judge others – without giving the benefit of the doubt?
Are you quickly angered and frustrated? Do you hold grudges?
Do you point out the speck in your brother’s eye, with a stick in your own?
Are you ready for His return?
Do you think about the return of Christ throughout your week?
When you do, what is it that you think?
