The story of the shepherds invitation to witness the brith of the Messiah teaches us God’s design of humility for those who follow His Son. This story also provides for us the pattern of God’s involvement for us to first “come and see” and finally “go and tell”.
“How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
