It isn’t hard to regularly see the many ways “this” world is broken. Too often in ministry we find this world producing not only an external opposition to the gospel, but often an inward creep of discouragement, doubt, and fear.
How can we battle such spiritual oppression? Lets examine the Apostle Paul’s circumstances and conclusion that his chains have actually helped to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and see how this change in perspective to his trials helps to reshape the nature of suffering in this world.
Genesis 50:20
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.”
Observations and Conclusion:
1. Judge your trials in retrospect
2. See your suffering for God’s glory
3. Preach Christ no matter what
4. There must be cooperation in the body of Christ
5. You have nothing to fear
God has plans for you!
Application:
Where do you need courage?
Take a moment and ask God to give you the courage you need to go through the next door He has for you!
