The soul has been gifted as life to the human having been raised from the dust. But the soul has also been lost in our rebellion. It is the grace of our God that can protect and persevere our wayward souls through His Son, and in the process sustain the work of redemption to remake our very souls in conformity with His will.
Observations:
- The eternal state will be a composite of soul, spirit, and body
A. God raises Adam as an immortal soul – Adam gave it to you
B. Jesus raises you with a living spirit by sending the Holy Spirit
C. The Spirit will raise your physical body as imperishable - The eternal state is dependent on your federal head: Adam or Jesus
Conclusions:
- Right now, your soul is either in Adam or in Christ
- Right now, you start the journey towards death or life
Application: How are you taking care of your eternal soul?
- Entrust your soul to Jesus
