We must make sure that our lives don’t become too filled with such “good” things that we fail to make room for the BEST!
Observations and Conclusions:
- Christmas Constipation: No room – too full of “good” things
- Leave the good to embrace the best
Application:
- How is the room in your heart for Jesus?
- Is there any “good” thing that you need to exchange for the BEST?
- Don’t let expectations of culture or tradition ROB you from what really matters!
Matthew 13:44-46
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”
Philippians 3:7-8
“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.”
1 John 5:11-12
“And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”
