Let There Be Light – Radiance

Let There Be Light – Radiance

In our world that celebrates materialism we can easily become distracted at Christmas.  Even the blessings and gifts that are received through Jesus can unintentionally become more significant than the Giver of those gifts.

We must make sure that our lives don’t become too filled with such “good” things that we fail to make room for the BEST!

Observations and Conclusions:

  1. Christmas Constipation: No room – too full of “good” things
  2. Leave the good to embrace the best

Application:

  • How is the room in your heart for Jesus?
  • Is there any “good” thing that you need to exchange for the BEST?
  • Don’t let expectations of culture or tradition ROB you from what really matters!

Matthew 13:44-46

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”

Philippians 3:7-8

“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ.”

1 John 5:11-12

“And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”
