Let There Be Light – Illumination

Let There Be Light – Illumination

Jesus delivers to the disciples a definition of God that will determine how they ought to view themselves. The answer to the question “Who is God” is the catalyst that can lead the Christian towards a life lived in love and truth.

Observations & Conclusions:

  1. God is the definition of holiness – He is light
  2. There is no compromise to God’s holiness
  3. We have been designed by Him to live in holiness

Application:

  1. Don’t walk in darkness
    A. Lust of the flesh
    B. Lust of the eyes
    C. Pride of Life
  2. Walk in the the Light: as He is in the light
    A. Fellowship with one another
    B. Purified from all sin by the blood of Jesus
  • Do my thoughts need more light?
  • Are my words “light-filled” words, or words spoken in the dark?
  • Where do my actions need to be brought into the light?
