The effort that man gives in pursuit of his own pleasures is a never-ending black hole of frustration that cannot ultimately satisfy. The only source of true satisfaction is found by submitting your desires onto the Lord and allowing Him to reframe and remake your desires according to His will. Ultimate satisfaction is found only in Jesus.
Observations & Conclusions:
- Pleasure defined by man’s justification is worthless
- Pleasure determined by man’s coveting is empty
- Pleasure delivered by man’s toiling is fleeting
- Pleasure dictated by man’s cravings will never satisfy
- Pleasure deceived by men’s lusts will only bring regret
Application: NOT – enjoy life by pleasing you but,
- Enjoy life by pleasing God
– by living in the moment with Godly character
– by living according to His design
– by living as one clothed in Jesus
