The annual Mansfield Pioneer Church Christmas service is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13 at 6:30pm. Pastor Steve Rhoades will be the guest officiant. This service is a highlight for many due to its unique and simple style, reminiscent of the faith of the early settlers. Without electricity, the charming log church is heated with a barrel wood stove, and lit with lanterns and candles. The church choir and congregation will sing music for this glorious season accompanied by the traditional pump organ. (A free will offering will be taken to assist with upkeep of the building.) Everyone is welcome, and refreshments and fellowship will follow the service. Join in on this special event to celebrate our Savior’s birth!
Directions to the church: From M-69, go about 4 miles east of Crystal Falls or about 6 miles west of Sagola, to Mansfield Cut-Off Road. Turn north and travel to the fork in the road at the mine pit, and turn left onto Stream Road. Go ½ mile to the church.
