In conjunction with our Helping Hearts ministry, all of our confirmation students along with their parents visited the Iron County Medical Care Facility to bring a message of hope and peace from the birth of Jesus through the delivery of some small Christmas baskets and through song. We sang, O Come All Ye Faithful, Joy to the World, and we Wish You a Merry Christmas. It was a blessing to both the residents and the students as we saw many of those in the assisted care facility join with us with smiles and singing. This event was a great opportunity for our confirmation students to participate in a ministry of the church, to reach out in love to many who need an extra dose of love this Christmas season.
It was a great afternoon to bring Christmas song and gifts to the residents at Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. Many people in skilled nursing facilities are unable to get out and visit family and friends for the holidays, so we brought the family of Christ to them! Many were especially fond of the youth that came with us. I believe there is a bit of nostalgia, with the residents, in seeing the youth and remembering their youth. Many smiles of joy, sounds of laughter and Christmas carols filled the halls! Our hearts were truly blessed to be able to warm the hearts of the residents in Crystal Falls! Thankful to everyone that came out for this special holiday visit. Praising God for His gift of Jesus!
