What happens when you get 5 churches together for a softball tournament? Well, that’s what we were going to find out. Each year, our local North Dickinson churches gather together for a rotating Good Friday service, but that’s about all we do together. We thought it would be fun to put together a softball tournament that would be for all ages, and spend a beautiful summer Saturday together enjoying some food, fellowship, and fun in the name of our Lord Jesus.
Special thanks to all the volunteers who cooked brats and burgers, those who helped put up the shade tents, and the organization of all the kids games and prizes. Although each team put forth a worth effort in good spirited competition, the trophy can only go to one team. Congratulations to Zion Lutheran and coach Grunlund for winning the “Slugfest” traveling trophy. We will see out on the field next year!
