The rain managed to hold off on June 11 until just before we started the annual fishing derby, then it let loose! Fishing in the rain can be fun, as we all found to our delight, and sometimes the fish bite better than in the sunshine. The kids were great sports, and just about everyone caught something, except Donna Cline, who got the “skunk award”. Soggy hot dogs and brats added to the festive atmosphere, and we left feeling like the most intrepid anglers anywhere, and can’t wait to do it again next year!
