Our emphasis on evangelism was just given another great boost by having the Gideons come and give a 3 part presentation on an effective methodology for sharing the gospel. They did a great job of summarizing and outlining the gospel presentation, and one of the best insights was a series of penetrating questions that are designed to get the non-Christian thinking about their stance on God. Such as, “Do you go to a church?” “What are your thoughts about the person Jesus Christ.” And, “Would you want to know if you were incorrect on some of your convictions?”
Perhaps the best part of the 3 hour training was the breakout sessions where we got to role-play a series of non-Christian characters and attempt to use the conversation method for sharing Christ. The evening was equipping enriching and fun. Thanks to our local Gideons for reaching out and providing this excellent resource to help our folks become further engaged and confident in evangelism.
