One of the most fun ways we get to raise support for a variety of needs is through our church auctions. Very often we simply have a “bake sale” fundraiser, but we thought it might be more fun to expand the auction to a variety of crafts, goods, and foods. So, instead of just cinnamon rolls and pies, we invited the church to participate in any way they creatively could.
This summer we decided to dedicate a Sunday for raising support for our children’s camp replacement Ark Trip. However, by the time we reached the fundraiser date in September, we had already had recouped our initial investment. What to do with this already scheduled “Bazaar Auction” then? We decided that our upcoming Missions Team could use the support to get their fundraising off to a good start.
Unbelievably, we reached new records for support as our little Sagola church so generously participated by both bidding and contributing to the auction. After this Sunday the mission team will have 15% of their required funds in the bank. Much thanks to the whole church, and everyone who gave so generously!
