With all of our emphasis upon new and modern praise songs in the church, sometimes the cherished hymns of the faith can get overlooked. Today we hosted a church-wide “Hymn Sing” and we were so blessed to have many members of our neighboring churches come out to sing and worship with us. We had testimonies, and song selections from the congregation, along with “name that tune” selections and some specials.
It wasn’t only the hymns, but afterwards we had a yummy treat to beat the summer heat with some ice cream. Special thanks to our instrumentalists for making the service possible, and to all those who contributed and joined voices together to worship our God with the great hymns of our faith.
