This year’s Trunk-or-Treat was held purposefully after church to encourage involvement and a reclaiming of what has become a worldly holiday back to a family affair. As expected the littlest ones were more than eager to strut about in their fanciest and fiercest costumes (along with some extra brave adults)!
Many of the church participants also went above and beyond with their trunks decorated for the event and routinely I heard the cat-calls begging for the offloading of more sugary treats (seems we might have gone a little overboard with the candy… as is easy to do!).
All in all it was a special time of family fun along with the church to encourage engagement and participation in greeting those little munchkins and mermaids with the love of Christ.
