This year’s theme was “Back to the Future” and the Grace Presbyterian church, with special recognition to Angela Applekamp with helpers Mary and Marvin, put together literal blast-from-the-past float!
With pictures and clippings from newspapers over the years from all the Nordic High sports teams ranging from basketball to cheerleading, along with jerseys and “antique” letter jackets, the float was a traveling museum of memories!
Special thanks to all those who gave of their time and talents to help make our church float a success, and especially to all those who faced record breaking temperatures (over 100 degrees on one thermometer) to hand out flyers for VBS and celebrate our country’s birthday by throwing out candy to the cheering crowd.
The VBS dates will be August 13 – 17, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm – “Gearing Up for Life’s Big Game!”
