In a cooperative effort to show our love and appreciation for our beloved Pastor Dave Anderson, the church at Grace Presbyterian has decided to purchase an oak tree to plant in his memory. For the funds to purchase the tree we held one of our famous Bake Sales.
Lasting over an hour, with the prices of pies and cookies going for above $50, the entire church worked together to raise more than $2,000.00! This is the most ever raised at one of our bake sales! At one point we even had two 8 year olds bidding against one another and finding the price was quickly escalating.
It was a wonderful hour after church to laugh and clap for the cooperative effort of buying goodies. Although we might need to all go on diets afterwards, we are excited to see how God’s has provided through the generosity of those who baked and those who bought to have what we need to offer a fitting memorial to Pastor Dave.
